I found out about you via your YouTube videos; I recently saw a video by a YouTuber that goes by the moniker Exits Examined talking about what happened to Dinotopia. I don't know how familiar you are with Dinotopia, so I recommend checking out the video, and even if you are familiar with Dinotopia it could be a nice refresher. Anyway, I think Dinotopia could also act as template for your Pokemon region, and maybe visiting (or revisiting) the Dinotopia franchise could give you some ideas of where to go next with you regional dex

I've never heard of Dinotopia before, but I watched the video on it, and I have to say the artwork for those books is absolutely stunning! It actually makes me think a lot of a personal headworld/character story I have with my partner wherein humans and dragons live together in a somewhat similar way. Very beautiful work, so stunning to see images depicting the daily life and little details about the world and its people!
